“To be, or not be… satisfied in NPOs”: a serial multiple mediation and clustering analysis of paid staff and volunteers' profiles

Introduction Non-profit organizations (NPOs) are a complex working context whose main characteristic resides in the dichotomy between paid staff and volunteers. Despite its benefits for goal achievement, this circumstance can be also challenge, both groups' interaction, their comprehension of own role to HR management. The aim study was explore factors that may contribute promote job satisfaction among NPOs' members. Methods Combining two different data analyses, serial multiple mediation analyses cluster first we analyze whether there differences volunteers perceived intrapersonal conflict performance effect on satisfaction, second, is an additional profiles distribution reflects more adequately reality NPOs, despite formal roles coexist these (paid volunteers). Results confirm differ level, with being satisfied. This relationship serially mediated by conflict, ambiguity, performance.
